Metroid Prime 4 on the Switch 2 showcases experimental mouse controls that allow for precise aiming, similar to PC games, offering smoother and faster shooting, particularly in performance mode. However, the mouse control setup introduces challenges, such as awkward button placements for jumping and other actions, making the experience less intuitive than expected. While mouse controls work well on a desk, using them on your thighs for a more comfortable sofa setup could be less effective due to limited movement space. Overall, while promising, these controls may need refinement to make everyone feel fully comfortable.

Once verified, users are placed into an age group, with the option to re-verify if needed. Users under the minimum age will be automatically banned, but can appeal.
EA says Switch 2’s Split Fiction can be shared with Switch 1, despite Nintendo guidelines. VG Chronicles
EA and Hazelight have announced that Split Fiction on Nintendo Switch 2 will support GameShare with original Switch consoles, allowing players to share the game locally even if the recipient doesn't own it. This claim contradicts Nintendo's official guidelines, which state that only Switch 2 games can be shared with other Switch 2 systems, and original Switch consoles can only receive games compatible with their platform. Since Split Fiction has no original Switch version, Nintendo’s policy suggests it shouldn't be shareable, raising questions about the feature’s actual functionality. EA has yet to clarify the discrepancy.

The next Battlefield | destruction details. Shinobi602 Twitter
The next Battlefield instalment focuses on enhanced destruction mechanics to deepen gameplay by allowing players to alter the environment strategically. Destruction will be more intuitive, allowing players to identify what can be destroyed. More minor impacts, such as bullets, contribute to structural damage after an explosion. Phil Spencer, Xbox's gaming boss, reiterated that Game Pass is not for everyone, acknowledging that the subscription model might not suit all players. Spencer emphasised that Game Pass is just one of many options available, alongside free-to-play games and direct game purchases. He noted that while Game Pass has contributed to an increase in playtime on Xbox, the focus remains on offering choices and growing the platform's audience. He also highlighted the success of Game Pass for developers, like the survival action game Atomfall, which saw positive results from its inclusion.
